Regarding Dr. Nunnelly
"I am pleased to have the opportunity to discuss the care I have received as a patient of Dr. Nunnelly. I have been an RN for years and have worked in supervisory roles in OB/GYN nursing in the clinic and office settings. My initial experience as a patient impressed me as I was first invited in to Dr Nunnelly's office to meet him and to review my history and reason for the current visit. This introduction is not the norm and certainly made me more comfortable.
Dr. Nunnelly explained his findings from my examination and presented options for care. He was willing to answer multiple questions and discuss alternatives. When I decided to have surgery he was thorough in reviewing potential risks and benefits of the procedure and encouraged me to seek a second opinion if desired.
Preoperative preparation was well coordinated and required a minimum amount of time and stress fior me. Postoperative care was also individualized to my needs and supported me in my recovery. The nursing staff and and surgery scheduler were kind and patient-centered in all of my interactions with them.
The 'one-stop shopping' aspect of the practice is also helpful and I was glad to be able to get my mammogram and bone density scans at the time of my regular exam.
I would definitely recommend your practice, and particularly Dr Nunnelly, to other women. He is professional and kind in demeanor and highly skilled as a physician.

"Dr. Nunnelly has been my OB/GYN for over 12 years. My previous employer recommended him, and spoke so highly of him that I didn't line up any other doctors to visit. I still remember her big smile as she spoke about him! She wasn't wrong--at my first meeting, I knew that he was the doctor for me!
Dr. Nunnelly delivered my two children, and helped me through three miscarriages. He's always calm, knowledgeable, and interested in my health/problems. I really feel as though he cares about my health, and sees me as a person, not only as a patient. He takes time to speak with me and is never in a hurry. He has a quiet sense of humor that always puts me at ease. The last time I visited, he gave me health advice as only a good doctor can—it wasn't necessarily what I (a lazy patient) wanted to hear, but the truth.
These many years later, I still count myself lucky to have found him. Any chance I get, I recommend Dr. Nunnelly to friends and coworkers. Experience with other health professionals has taught me that not every doctor is as kind and caring as he is. I won't even consider trying to find another doctor—so he's stuck with me until he retires!"

"Dr. Nunnelly is an amazing doctor who is attentive to all my concerns and very informed on all issues in his field. During a routine check up, Dr. Nunnelly noticed I was antsy, overheated and overall stressed out. He decided to check my thyroid and determined that it was enlarged and told me he thought I had a hyper thyroid and referred me to an endocrinologist. At the time, I had no idea what this was and had assumed all the symptoms I had associated with a hyper thyroid were just my own body issues. When I went to the endocrinologist I found out I have Graves Disease, which is a hyper thyroid disorder, and over the past year I have now been able to treat this and feel back to my normal self. If it wasn't for Dr. Nunnelly taking the time to recognize symptoms that I did not even recognize, I would still be dealing with major health issues. I would recommend anyone looking for an excellent gynocologist to visit Dr. Nunnelly's office."

"I cannot say enough GREAT things about the Ob/Gyn Group of Austin! During my pregnancy with twins I had the opportunity to get to know a lot of the staff and they were all remarkable. Even having my blood taken several times was a pleasant experience. But I truly owe the most thanks to Dr. Grogono. Dr. Grogono made my pregnancy one of the most enjoyable times in my life! She is a great listener and has a wonderful bed side manner. With this being our first and second babies we felt so clueless at times, but she always explained everything and never made us feel as though we were asking a stupid question.
She was so supportive, especially when I was put on bed rest at 28 weeks. I can honestly say that I looked forward to my weekly visits with Dr. Grogono! Their delivery was so exciting because we had waited to find out the sex of the babies and she was so supportive of our decision. I don’t think my experience would have been as wonderful without Dr. Grogono! I look forward to many more years with Dr. Grogono and the Ob/Gyn Group of Austin."

"Dr. Kish, Dr. Abikhaled and nurses Bree and Jamie took such great care of me during my pregnancy! I always felt that they had time to talk with me and explain things to me--they had a lot of patience with my long lists of questions. My husband was always welcomed and included and never felt out-of-place, something I was initially concerned about. They were so open and reassuring, which really helped me to get through the concerns and anxieties of a first pregnancy.

Towards the end of the pregnancy I had some irregular test results. The care was calm, confident and conservative--they weren't about to take any chances with me or the baby. I truly believe I was in the best possible hands during those few scary weeks. I was so worried but they kept me calm and sane until my delivery day. Bree and Dr. Abikhaled were there along with my husband, providing great care as well as critical moral support! My daughter was born healthy and happy with no complications, and I had a very positive birth experience.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Kish, Dr. Abikhaled, the nurses and staff at OB/GYN Group. For better or worse, they have a patient for life!"

"I was under Dr. Abikhaled’s care for about eight weeks toward the end of my pregnancy. I was very nervous about the change of doctors, but Dr. Abikhaled was wonderful. From the minute I saw her she made me feel very comfortable. I was having some trouble with my pregnancy, and she was always very reassuring and understanding. She was very knowledgeable and always thoroughly explained what was going on and the next course of action. She always took time for my questions and never acted like she was too busy even when I knew she was. She always had a very gentle and sincere way about her. I truly believe I received the best possible care in every sense from her. Thank you so much!"

"I have been going to The ObGyn Group of Austin for several years and have seen Drs. Abikhaled, Kish, and Grogono (and others), and would recommend any of them! Whether a standard well woman check-up, prenatal exam, ultrasound, or post-partum visit, the staff is always on time, friendly, and organized. The nurses ROCK! They don’t make you feel rushed, they make you feel as if you’re the first patient that day to ask that question (that they’ve likely heard a million times already), and they seem to genuinely care about your health and well-being. Bree even called me to make sure that I was okay when I had forgotten to schedule one of my appointments with Dr. Kish! The doctors are obviously AWESOME as well. Dr. Abikhaled is extremely patient, gentle, and kind, and made me feel better about not being able to breastfeed. Dr. Kish was always lighthearted and funny (which I definitely needed during my grumpy pregnant days) and answered all of my questions (even the dumb ones). While I was initially upset when I went into labor when Drs. Kish and Dr. Abikhaled weren’t on call, Dr. Grogono put me at ease immediately. Even though I ended up having to have a c-section, Dr. Grogono went out of her way to try other options first without putting me or the baby in harm’s way. While I hope that I won’t have to see any of the doctors for a serious issue, I know that I would be in excellent and caring hands. I recommend Drs. Kish, Abikhaled, and Grogono for any woman looking for a new ob/gyn (and I have recommended a few already)."

“Today I had my first doctor's appointment with Dr. Kish & I just wanted to write & let you all know how incredibly welcome, safe, & comfortable Dr. Kish, her nurse, and all of the staff in the office made me feel. I was a little nervous about the appointment as the appointment was my first for an unplanned pregnancy & I left there feeling so enlightened. Dr. Kish & her nurse Brie were so friendly, knowledgeable, and comforting, I can't even begin to tell you how good they made me feel. Not only that, but the office staff upon arriving and leaving, and the gentlemen in the lab who drew my blood, were all so friendly. This is a wonderful doctor's office, & I just had to let everyone know how much I appreciate it, and how much it means to me. Thank you.”

"Dr. Kish is an all-around excellent doctor. I would highly recommend her to anyone. The very first time I saw her was after I had a miscarriage. She was very reassuring, caring and knowledgeable. She continued that same quality of care through my next pregnancy and C-Section. Even when I was nervous in the operating room, she made me feel very relaxed. I could always joke around with her, and she would roll with the punches. No matter how busy her schedule was, she made me feel like I was her only patient.

She also took the time for questions and concerns. I loved how she was straight-forward and very knowledgeable. She truly went above and beyond the call of duty as a doctor. Even now, I can call with a question, and her staff gets back to me with an answer from her very quickly. I actually was supposed to call with an update recently. When I didn’t, Bree called to check up on me. I could write volumes about my great experiences with Dr. Kish, the nurses, and the rest of the office staff. For the first time I can honestly say I would at times forget I was in a doctors office while I was with Dr. Kish during my check-ups. Regarding Dr. Gooch
I had gone to two annual physicals prior to my annual visit with Dr. Gooch. Dr. Gooch was the only one who found the nodule in my thyroid. I knew something wasn't right but just dismissed it as "growing old". I didn't realize that I had a nodule in my thyroid. Dr. Gooch referred me to Dr. Bridget Brady, a wonderful surgeon, who removed the baseball size (benign) nodule from my neck. Now I am feeling much better and can't believe the difference it has made. Thank you, Dr. Gooch!

I just wanted to say that my experience from beginning to end with the OBGYN Group of Austin has been absolutely amazing. Dr. Gooch has been the best doctor I have ever had. Not only does he make me feel comfortable but he takes the time to answer any questions or concerns I have. Also, the nurses are so inviting and personable.

Regarding Dr. Braunstein
Dr. Braunstein delivered my daughter, who was born with low blood sugar and had to be taken to the nursery a few minutes after her birth. Once Dr. Braunstein had cleaned up she came and held my hand and told me that this was nothing unusual and that my baby would be fine. As a first-time mom, I can't tell you how comforting this was that she took the time to do that; it meant SO much to me.
