Dr. Sweeney, who is licensed to practice in Texas and Louisiana, has been practicing with The OB/GYN Group of Austin (formerly known as Drs. Des Rosiers & Wernecke, Associates) since July of 1997. For eight years prior to joining our group, she had her own private solo practice here in Austin. Dr. Sweeney received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin and received her medical degree in 1985 from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. She did both her internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Louisiana State University in New Orleans.
Dr. Sweeney is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a member of the Texas Medical Association, The Travis County Medical Society and The American Medical Association.
Personal Information
Dr. Sweeney is married; she and her husband are practicing Roman Catholics and have one daughter.
